Awards guidelines
The individual and collective efforts of teachers and other staff are recognised through awards at individual, school, faculty, University and national levels.
Australian awards for university teaching
Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) provides several awards for outstanding achievements in teaching and learning, rewarding teaching excellence, programs that enhance learning and outstanding contributions to student learning. The UWA ALTC Support Office assists staff with applications and information.
University awards
- Distinguished Teaching and Learning Award for Schools encourages, promotes and rewards excellence in teaching and learning at the school level.
- UWA awards for excellence in teaching acknowledge UWA's outstanding teachers and support staff in categories that are selected each year.
- Faculty teaching awards are based on peer review and assessment of good teaching with input from students.
- Contributions to Student Learning Awards reward professional and academic staff from central organisational units who make a significant contribution to student learning or enhancing the student learning experience.
