The Teaching and Learning Committee is a standing committee of the Academic Council and has a significant central role in the overall planning and management of the University's Teaching and Learning activities.

- The Ancillary Student Fees and Charges Regulating Committee monitors and advises on the fees and charges levied by faculties and schools and advises on relevant Government and University policies.
- The Teaching Quality Indicators Implementation Reference Group is responsible for overseeing the implementation of a TQI project that will provide a framework for recognising quality teaching within UWA.
- Academic Year Planning Committee recommends to the Academic Council dates for academic years including starting and finishing dates for semesters, breaks and non-teaching weeks.
