The Federal Government rewards universities that best demonstrate excellence in undergraduate learning and teaching through performance fund grants.
Since the fund was announced in 2003 as part of the Government’s Our Universities: Backing Australia’s Future reforms, UWA has received grants each year.
Funds are distributed throughout the University at the discretion of the University Executive. In 2009, $2.7 million was distributed to faculties and $1.254 million to central funds.
Further grants will not be made from this Federal Government scheme after 2009.
