The University's performance in international rankings, awards and grants reflects the quality of its teaching.

International and national rankings

The University is on track to be considered one of the top 100 universities in the world by its centenary years of 2011-2013.

 

Academic Ranking of World Universities compiled bythe Shanghai Jiao Tong University

  • UWA was ranked 110 in the world in 2011, the ranking improved two places from 2010

Times Higher Education Supplement (THES) 2009 rankings

  • UWA was ranked 84

Good Universities Guide

  • The University was ranked highest in the State across a range of areas including graduate startign salaries, research grants, research intensity and staff-student ratios.

 

  •     National awards

The University has an outstanding record in national awards for teaching.

The University received 28 Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, five Awards for Programs that Enhance Learning, two Awards for Teaching Excellence and two Fellowships from the Australian Learning and Teaching Council from 2006-2009.

National Grants

The Learning and Teaching Performance Fund rewards universities that best demonstrate excellence in undergraduate learning and teaching. Between 2006 and 2009 the University received more than $15.5m which has been used to improve the student learning experience.
