Faculty-based Teaching Awards
Between 1991 and 2006 the University and Guild of Undergraduates had joint oversight of the University's Excellence in Teaching Awards. With effect from 2007 teaching awards have been embedded in the faculties. The process of peer review and assessment of good teaching is best made at the faculty level, with input from the student body, and the criteria adopted by all the faculties is aligned with nationally accepted criteria for excellence in teaching, namely that used by the Carrick Insitute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. | | Faculty-based teaching awards have been adopted in line with the following policy: | | Policy for Faculty-Based Teaching Awards The procedures for nominating a faculty teaching award have been developed by each faculty .
